Threes Room

The Epiphany Lutheran Three’s  Room is a vibrant and engaging environment where children continue to grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence. Building on the foundation established in earlier years, our program nurtures each child’s developing sense of self while preparing them for the transition into Pre-K and beyond.

Our classroom is designed to promote active, hands-on learning across all areas of development — social, emotional, physical, and cognitive. Children are encouraged to ask questions, explore new ideas, and express their creativity through a variety of learning centers such as art, science, dramatic play, literacy, math, blocks, and sensory exploration. Teachers thoughtfully plan activities that support early literacy and numeracy skills, problem-solving, and critical thinking — all while keeping learning fun, meaningful, and engaging.

At this age, social development becomes a major focus. Teachers guide children in learning to work cooperatively, share, take turns, and communicate their feelings in positive ways. Daily routines and group activities help children understand responsibility and teamwork, while fostering empathy, patience, and respect for others.

Language and communication skills flourish in our Three’s and Four’s Room through storytelling, music, show-and-tell, and interactive discussions. Teachers model rich vocabulary and encourage children to express themselves confidently. Fine and gross motor skills are strengthened through art projects, outdoor play, and hands-on learning experiences that allow children to move, build, and create.

The goals of the Three’s and Four’s Room are to nurture independence, spark curiosity, and build a lifelong love of learning. Each day provides new opportunities for discovery, imagination, and growth within a safe, structured, and joyful environment. At Epiphany Lutheran, we strive to help every child feel capable, confident, and excited to take the next step in their educational journey.

Meet the Teacher

Mrs. Kari Case is excited to be the 3A teacher for the 2025–2026 school year at Epiphany Lutheran Preschool. She and her husband, Dave, have two children, Makayla and Grayson, who both attended VPK at ELPS. Teaching is Mrs. Case’s passion, and she has dedicated the past 14 years to working in early childhood education. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of roles, including aide, lead teacher for multiple age groups, summer camp supervisor, floor supervisor, van driver, and custodian. Her wide range of experience has given her a deep understanding of children’s growth and learning at every stage.

Mrs. Case looks forward to an exciting year filled with fun, learning, and new experiences with her students. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys boating, fishing, gardening, rucking (fitness hiking), spending time with family, relaxing on the beach, and cheering for FSU and Auburn football. Above all, she loves teaching and is passionate about helping every child learn, grow, and thrive.
