Classical Kindergarten
A Strong Foundation for Lifelong Learning
The classical kindergarten curriculum builds a strong foundation through phonics-based reading, careful handwriting, basic math, and daily memorization. It uses order, repetition, and beautiful stories, poetry, art, and music to match how young children naturally learn. The goal is to form confident, attentive learners who love learning and are ready for the next stages of classical education.
Our goal: To cultivate a love of learning and prepare children for future success through a time-tested educational approach.

About Me
Hello! I am a Tallahassee native and am so grateful to be teaching back in my hometown. My journey in education began at home, where I homeschooled my daughters and taught as an itinerant teacher at FSUS. That experience inspired me to formalize my calling, and I earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, summa cum laude, fromLongwood University. Since graduating five years ago, I have spent the last five years teaching in Virginia, gaining valuable experience that I am excited to bring back to the Tallahassee community.
My Teaching Philosophy
In my kindergarten classroom, I aim to cultivate the soul through the Classical tradition, using the Grammar stage’s focus on song and story to build a foundation of knowledge. I believe the rigor of learning should be paired with the joy of play, creating a "laboratory of discovery" where students explore God’s world with wonder. By prioritizing strong, nurturing relationships, I create a safe environment where curiosity thrives. My mission is to guide children toward "The Good, The True, and The Beautiful," instilling a lifelong love for learning and a deep awe for the Creator’s work.
